Haha. Surprised to see all are either kids or aunts, no one around my age. =x It is a kid party anyway. What am I talking about? Lol. This is the day where you can see the kids play catching and make lots of noise without getting scolded by ky mum, (she scolded anyone, even neighbouring kids if they play outside when I am teaching.) Haha. =x

Kids are meant to be this way. Running about and shouting to get people attention. They are in their own world, nothing to worry about(nothing particularly serious compared to us). Lots of kids...seeing their smiles just make me forgot my troubles momentarily.

Today is her day. The sort of day where you only get to celebrate once a year, like national day. But it is more personal, nothing grand, but special in another sense. It is the day where you proclaim to the world that you are born and you exist.

The moment I step in, she just smile delightfully. It is quite rare to see her smile, given the family background she has. I wouldn't even dare to face the world if it occurred to me. A kid smile is special cause they didn't do that to make you happy, they smile because they are happy. Simple and innocent. Natalie, whatever wishes you have, don't give up ok? Smile, today is your day afterall! =D

Natalie Birthday

CNY is coming but no mood and time to celebrate. I have decided to split the 2 days of 3 hour session into 3 days of 2 hours instead. That means I will be tutoring them for 1 hour each instead of the usual 1 and a half hour. Why?

They have short attention span. They can keep mumbling what time is it till the cow goes home. Since I am taking rs next month, this will make my schedule more "breathable" to accommodate. Their mum seemed pleased with the new arrangement since there isn't any price hike. =x

Ky is now better now thanks to my boi chap attitude. Every time he tried to crack a joke or talk nonsense, I just show him my indifferent face. I almost make kq cried just now. Scary sia. He keep rocking the chair like riding a pony like that. I push the chair away and it accidentally hit the cupboard next to it. He started to show the want to cry but must tahan face... But on the whole, I didn't have to shout that much or keep repeating myself. =D

Ps ky. This year PSLE liao. Hope when you grew up and saw this blog next time, you know why the sudden changes in my attitude liao. Haha. Nite.

Yup. Just returned. A super looooooooong day. Woo! Tutoring changed to 7-10pm cause of my school revamped class schedule. I am stuck with catching with the pace of classroom teaching and mine cause they are taught 5 days a week and mine only once a week?

This can be easily compromised by giving them lots of homework but their mum ask me to go lenient on that. Lol. Luckily both of them are super fast learner. yl managed to grasp the concept of subtraction and addition of 4-5 digits numbers and vice versa in just one lesson. My pace of teaching is like gear 2 for her.

zw has a super great brain. Always never failed to grasp the concept in just under one lesson. I literally teach one chapter per lesson for him. Haha. That is super duper fast. But he got more homework as a result to compromise for the speed of teaching. =x

Basically, I don't really see any need for them to have a tutor other than just supervising their homework. If the next tutor who will take over them in time to come is on par or better than us, getting a psle score of 250+++ would be the least of worries. Time really flies.

Merry Xmas. From: Lim's Family.

It has been very long since I last blogged. Hence I am here to "spring clean" my blog since Chinese New Year is coming. The subjects are getting chimer by the year. Primary 6 and they are already starting on algebra which is supposedly to be sec 1 standard.

The rates remained as I knew it will be unwise to raise in this economic recession. Teaching has always be a passion in which no amount can be exchanged for. yl and zw are taught on the same day, once per week, which is quite a relief since my time for this month is so packed that I can only have sunday for myself. ky and his brother are taught on the same day also but twice a week.

Today ky mum give me a Christmas present(i was surprised, haha). In it, it was a black T-shirt written, "Sorry, I am already taken". Diao...I was like (o,0)y. That why ky ask me whether I already have a gf since he saw many at my age having one. I just ignored and continued teaching cause I don't want him to continue his "nonsense" (once he goes on, you can't stop him liao).

I am so stressed with my current situation that any potential gf will sure break off with me before it even get started. Lol. Kids are always kids. Nothing to worry about except homework and occasional friendship hiccups. "You don't friend me, I also don't want to friend you lor" lol...
